Hard work does pay off.

On Friday 21st of January my partner and me had our final client meeting. It couldn't’t have gone better. After many sleepless nights and stress to get our campaign just right. We reaped the rewards. On our arrival at the agency we were informed that one of the clients Sam was caught up in a meeting so it just ran ahead with Dan. We sat down in the boardroom and began the presentation.
After showing the entire presentation we sat in anticipation waiting for our feedback. After what seemed a long pause he told us how well he thought the campaign worked, not only as a campaign but how it clearly answered what the brief asked. He gave us a few small pointers, which I completely agreed with. But as a whole it went extremely well. Even to the point that he offered a work placement opportunity and his help in putting us in contact with other top agencies in Newcastle. This felt like I had struck gold! This seems like the ‘big-break’ my partner and me have been looking for. Not only did he offer this but he also offered to help us tweak our campaign to make it ready to submit for the YCN awards.
Gaining a contact, that works in industry and seems very keen on helping us do well, is something we will cherish. I have found this module to be extremely helpful in moving our team forward, through helping us learn how industry works, encouraging us to boost our standards of work and allowing us to meet a client such as Dan, who could give us the tools in getting our foot in the door of an advertising agency. It just clears any doubts my partner and me had about how successful we could be.
